Introduction
Glenview Methodist Preschool (GMPS) is a non-denominational preschool, licensed by the Department of Children and Family Services, that has served the children of Glenview and surrounding communities since 1965.
At GMPS, we believe that a high quality early childhood program should, first and foremost, provide a safe and nurturing environment for children. Our program is aligned with the guidelines set forth by the Illinois Early Learning Standards, which recognize the connection between the emotional, social, cognitive and physical development of the child and the learning process. We accomplish this by way of a play-based environment that is both fun and educationally challenging.
Additionally, GMPS works to appropriately prepare all of its students for a smooth transition from preschool to kindergarten by following the guidelines set forth by Glenview District 34.
Although class activities change depending on the time of year and the make up of the class, a sample schedule shows what a typical day might look like at GMPS.
We welcome and encourage parents and children to visit us and observe our classes and facilities during school hours.

As of fall 2006, GMPS maintains a peanut-/tree nut-free facility.
